30th Anniversary Commemorative Stamps
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Whitlam Government's dismissal on 11 November 1975, the Whitlam Institute in conjunction with Australia Post, Anton Cermak/Fairfax photos and the Canberra Times, have produced a special edition 30th Anniversary Dismissal Souvenir Event Stamp (sheet of 10).
Etchings
A limited edition set of etchings has been produced capturing Gough Whitlam in three stages of his public life. The etchings capture Mr Whitlam as a determined member for Werriwa, as Prime Minister of Australia and Statesman.
The etchings, produced as a limited set of 15 are individually signed by Gough Whitlam and the artist Luis Martinez. They are presented in a beautiful chocolate leather portfolio.
Energy Security DVD-ROM
In 2008 the Whitlam Institute and the College of Health and Science within the University of Western Sydney brought together leading Australian and international scientists to share their best scientific knowledge about energy security now and into the future at a series of forums at Riverside Theatres in Parramatta.
The Energy Security Series DVD-ROM is an excellent resource for academics, teachers, students, journalists and other interested people. The material on the DVD-ROM is already being used widely within the University of Western Sydney.
Getting to Grips with the Economy DVD-ROM
The Whitlam Institute and the University of Western Sydney School of Economics and Finance presented a series of topical, educational forums at Riverside Theatres, Parramatta in 2009 to help increase understanding and debate about the state of the Australian economy, the implications for us all, and what Australia’s economic options are in the context of the continuing and dramatic global economic turmoil.
The DVD-ROM from the series has already proved popular with schools around Australia, particularly those with senior Economics students.
